world war two has began, and the Nazi are invading the French. a young girl's (Celine) parents are killed in front of her by a Nazi solider. with her home burnt down, she rushes to the town to hid as she see's the soldiers are on there way. they kill and take people from the town, leaving her on own. the Celine hears about training camps for French men only! to fight against the invaders. This is the only way she can have revenge.

Celine cuts her hair, changes her name to Sam and goes to the training camp. she goes through loads of things, and makes friends with the boys. later groups are formed and the french soldiers are sent away to fight. she is with her friends, and her crash, Dan. they all build strong friendships, and laughs. they camp out every night as they walk closer and closer to the Nazi's.

The group eventually find out that Celine is a girl, some are angry and jealous that she can do better than them. Dan is upset but soon fulls in love with her,and sleeps with her. later the group are up against the Nazi's and Dan is shot dead. Celine comes face to face with her parents killer, and kills him. this is all about adventure, challenges, friendships, and change.
