John Smilley played for a Football League for fifteen years during the early 70's. He was a Linebacker who was thought to be the toughfest of all. Named best Defenisve player 8 times and MVP twice, John was living his dream until a concussion finished his career. His live since, has been nothing but miserable. He finds out soon after his career was over, that the Players Association did not have a Bargaining Agreement Formalized which would have secured his pension plan for life. Therefore, John is way over his head with major medical bills, constantly having dizziness and nightmares plus he is feeling guilty realizing the damage he might have caused to other peers while playing out his toughness. Now is up to him to find a way to make a positive out of his negative experience.
