A boy and girl have been friends since they were born. There are no feelings. Then when they turn teenagers, the guy starts going out with the most popular girl and his friend becomes jealous. She tries to spend more time with the guy and tries to attract his attention in funny ways. Then she realizes that she's in love with him, having flashbacks of their youth the whole time. They eventually get together after the popular girl broke his heart and she comforts him.They both say they love each other and then they start going out. Then there is a prologue that says that the popular girl ended up being single for the rest of her life and that they married and had two kids and two grandkids. Then it shows a clip of when they were younger and hugging.
