 Dan Grant is a grieving divorce lawyer that hasn't been the same person since 4 years ago. When his wife Sandra filed for divorce and was caught cheating with the pool boy, pizza boy, and even maid.

 Dan drinks alot, cries alot, yet still tries to be compassionate when it comes to his work and who he's representing. Even though everyone he's represented hasn't been happy about what they've gotten other then the written certificate. They just yell at Dan but he's already so miserable it doesn't seem to bother him.

 In his mind and life it's as love doesn't exist anyways. Outside of work he has isolated himself and seems to live in the past. Always thinking about Sandra. He'll call her up and leave sorrowful and apologetic messages even though he never really did anything wrong.

 Sandra just doesn't care and has moved on with her life and tells Dan to leave her alone, etc...She's kind of mean about the whole thing, she don't want to be friends to Dan, speak to him, or see him."Well why not Sandra", Dan cries into the phone. She just says something really rude an hangs up the phone on him.

 Sandra is all about herself, Dan is still all about Sandra. Dan can't live his life anymore like this. His shrienk tells him he has an obsessive attitude and view towards Sandra and that he needs to let that go, and take the medicine he's been prescribing which Dan claims makes him feel even worse.

 Dan has only cared for one other women in his life, a highschol girl named Cathy. Cathy and him were really good friends in highschool, but then both of them went off to college and haven't talked even once since because Sandra had came into the picture.

When they meet again Dan instantaniously begins to feel better. Like their's hope, and like he can finally get over Sandra.

 Cathy isn't being 100% honest with Dan when they re-unite and she is actually married to a dick. A guy that use to beat Dan up in highschool, a guy named Greg Flowers. Greg was a jock and a bully, and somehow managed his way into Cathy's life. Dan ends up finding out that Greg is actually cheating on Cathy..with...his ex-wife Sandra.

 Cathy wants a divorce, and Dan stands up to lay the smack down on both their ex's in court..They win, fall in love, get married...etc..
