Amanda, 17, has a childhood friend named Alex who was fourteen years old who realized that he was a magician so he moved to a far away and distant city with his family. They Only shared e-mail conversations and nothing else. He never allowed her to visit him.
Amanda had four younger sisters and her parents are divorced, she lived at home with one of her sisters and her grandfather. In the house that was Alex's, 5 years later, a strange family has moved in. It was a couple with a son and two daughters, one of his own age and a smaller one, which were very different but beautiful.
Amanda met his neighbor in high school but did not share any classes together. He called much attention for being so different from the others, it was as if everything was lit up as he passed around somewhere. He seemed to project a wave of joy and happiness even though he was very distant from everyone but her sister. Actually she met her sister Juliet first. She had the same happiness around her as if she is the most kind person in the world. They were together in some classes. Amanda was a very indifferent girl. Juliet told her that she lived next door to her and so they became friends. Amy was called the attention of Juliet's brother, who was very beautiful. His name was Samuel.
Juliet invited Amy to visit her. The house was so bright and cheerful as those ones that were living there but it was too abnormal. All the family members were beautiful and kind.
She had noticed that something was amiss and began to suspect things when her little sister had told her that Ninive (The younger sister of Sam) had cured a wound in her hand while they were playing.
Amanda and Sam fell in love, but he was trying to avoid her because neither he nor his family were normal. They had a secret. But it made her happy and thats what mattered most to him. He was like her guardian angel, looking after her all the time. Since she met him her nightmares suddenly disappeared. He could not walk away even though he had to protect the secret. Sam had become Amandas world. It was strange how he looked after her of any wrongdoing or bad things and he taught her many things about life. It was like he did not want her to be an evil person or like he wanted her to be almost a saint.
One day Amy received a mail from his old friend Alex who was not writing for quite some time. Alex invited her and her family to visit him and his family. At last he had given his address. He finally was able to control his magical powers of which she knew nothing.
She commented about visit to Samuel, so he insisted on going with her and. Then both went.
The house was very far from others houses. Sam said they should go back home again but she wanted to stay and see his friend. He behaved in a more bizarre than usual. And he told her that he would just wait outside.
When she entered the house she saw Alex who was about to tell him what he was when Sam suddenly entered the house and illuminated everything like a small sun ... Suddently behind Alex appeared his family trying to protect him from something and.......
