The lakeside serial killer is plastered all over the news especially at how frightening his distinct style of killing is (however, main identifying features of the murders are not revealed publicly). The main character (detective Don Strickland) is very hot on the case about to make a major breakthrough when the serial killer is killed in an unrelated accident.

Unbeknownst to the emergency crew that handles his body organs that are donated, his spirit is carried in each of the organs that are transplanted. Thus leading to several serial killers spread around the country with identical killing styles. At first, detective Strickland feels he has failed as he is unable to solve the now cold case in his home town, until he starts seeing the news of what he thought were perhaps only copycat killers that ultimately become linked back to the true killer.

1. Great!
How about this for an ending: a teenage boy is in hospital after receiving a heart transplant. The curse takes over and he stabs a couple of nurses with a pen and escapes, before killing a civilian and stealing his/her clothes and money. Eventually he gets an urge to meet up with the serial killer. The detective tracks them down and the killer gets shot dead, but the boy runs. He gets cornered but his heart fails from running and he regains his sanity. But, scared and confused and unable to remember where he's been he runs at the police, who shoot him. I think what you have so far is great!

2. Thanx for the comment
I appreciate the comment, that certainly is a different ending. It could go a hundred ways and still be good. How about others comment on an ending. The best one will be used in the actual movie! :)
