Columbia Pictures presents a film based on the videogame series' Grand Theft Auto III, As one of the populist series in the modern era, the film's plot is the same as that of Grand Theft Auto III which takes place in Liberty City, a city on the East Coast, which is loosely based on New York City, but also incorporates elements of other American cities. GTA III's Liberty City has also been used for Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (only for one mission in San Andreas), and is one of four renditions of "Liberty Cities" featured throughout the series; the other three are present in Grand Theft Auto (GTA1), Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, and Grand Theft Auto IV (GTA IV). GTAIII is set around the autumn of 2001, when the game was first released; this was indicated by the Liberty Tree website, which included plot points that connect to events in the beginning of the game in its last existing monthly entry, dated October 18, 2001. Claude Speed has robbed the Liberty City Bank with his girlfriend, Catalina, and a male accomplice. While running from the scene, Catalina shoots him and leaves him to die in an alley; the accomplice is also seen lying nearby. Claude Speed survives but has been arrested and subsequently found guilty and sentenced to jail. While he is being transferred, an attack on the police convoy aimed at kidnapping an unrelated prisoner sets him free. With the help of a fellow escaped prisoner, the player character then takes on work as a local thug and rises in power as he works for multiple rival gangs, a corrupt police officer and a media mogul. In the process, Maria, the mistress of a local Mafia boss, begins to take a liking to him. The Mafia leader, Salvatore, grows suspicious and lures the player to a death trap; but Maria saves him, remaining close to him throughout the storyline. He later goes to work for others, including the Liberty City Yakuza and media mogul Donald Love. Eventually, his exploits attract the attention of Catalina, now affiliated with a Colombian drug cartel, resulting in the kidnapping of Maria. This gives him the opportunity to face Catalina once more, which results in a firefight and Catalina's death.
The setting is 2002 in Liberty City, New York where a family of three recently moved there and is in desperate need for money to pay apartment bills and support their 3 year old daughter Jessica. The father Caesar cannot find a job due to the economical climate so he is forced to go to a loan shark and all is good until the loan shark came back and threated Caesar to pay back the $5,000 or else he will kill his wife Alexandra and his daughter the loan shark gives him a month. Caesar runs into an old friend from high school who is currently in the top most dangerous gang in Liberty City and he offers to help Caesar's financial situation by making him join the gang and things ease up because he is making more money than he thought by selling drugs and extorting the local shop owners the gang takes control of and stealing drugs from other rival gangs the gang is impressed how he has been "dedicated" and becomes promoted to first lieutenant and meets the godfather of the gang and learns their secrets and how the gang is organized and their play books and things make a turn for the worst when Caesar is desperate to leave the gang and he is being chased by the federal government and the New York Police Department with no hope the police came knocking on his door not to arrest him but to help him the police are aware of his situation of leaving the gang but the police want information all about the gang he is in and how things are run so he agrees and goes into Federal Protection Program the gang realizes that there is a rat within their presence and soon they keep an eye out for the high rankings which Caesar is listed as. And soon enough the gang finds out Caesar is the snitch and hunts him down but the gang manage to kidnap his wife and daughter and claim to do an exchange his family for the evidence he is going to hand over to the feds. So the Godfather personally does the exchange with Caesar and Caesar brings the feds to back him up but the sniper for the feds shot the godfather and the wife gets shot once so Caesar and his family leave to the airport but while in the parking lot the loan shark came back and killed his wife and Caesar with all his vengeance murdered the loan shark so he buys a plane ticket to Chicago and never looked back.

My movie idea is about a back-streets rapper trying to get his name out; also at the same time he is trying to juggle his 3 year old son steven who has cancer and isnt supposed to live. When the rapper, lance nickels, lands a record contract in california and is practicing 24-7 for his recording date- not worrying about Steven, who's at the hospital at the time. He gets on the plane to california and heads out- forgetting to even say bye to Steven. When at the studio, all is well until he gets a text from his sister susan who was watching steven saying she needs to talk to him. He ignores the text thinking it was just her boy troubles. 3 hours later, the recording session is over and he leaves. When he gets home he heads to the hospital to surprise steven, but realizes he is in urgent care. He runs in and steven dies in lances arms. The end.
