Funny Family Comedy – Duct Tape Daddy. Find out if duck tape can hold his family together. This movie will appeal to the entire world, because the entire world can relate to Duct Tape.
A selfish, materialistic, unappreciative, egotistic man loses his high paying executive job. He’s unable to find work and his wife goes to work to help pay the bills. He soon finds out the family has been spending out of their means, living pay check to pay check. In his unaware mind he doesn’t realize that his home life is a wreck. After a few days at home, he soon realizes that his marriage is on the rocks and his twin son & daughter have neither love nor respect towards him. And he has no clue how hard it is to take care of the baby. For years he’s been neglecting the family and thought money would buy their love. On top of this, his crazy father-n-law and his loveable, destructible bulldog Diesel must move in with the family due to a recent stroke. There has always been friction between the father-n-law and the father. Soon after the father-n-laws arrival he approaches the son-n-law and gives his one piece of advice. As the father-n-law is handing the son-n-law a roll of duct tape he says “Duct tape can solve all your problems”. Throughout the movie the bulldog and little baby causes the father lots of grief. Each grief is resolved with duck tape. The family is faced with a financial crisis, twin son & daughter are graduating from high school and they don’t have enough money to send them to college. The father starts fixing little things with duct tape around the house and for his wife; her shoes, her purses. He starts helping kids. He works with his daughter to win an art competition using duck tape. He spends time with his son fixing things; son’s bike, he makes duck tape protective paintball vest. He starts to win back the family love and respect. He is still faced with the challenge of paying for the kids’ college. He then help son with a science project, but the crazy bulldog chews it up a day before the competition. The son is crying and upset. The dad spends all night fixing it with duck tape. The son wins science project and scholarship to college. Then the daughter is going to prom and is upset she has to wear a $60 dress. Her date is attacked by the bulldog while walking up the driveway. He enters house clothes all torn up. She’s crying too because of the whole situation. The dad reveals a secret project he has been working on, a prom dress and tuxedo made out of duct tape – Duct tape has a real life prom & tuxedo completion. The girl is reluctant to wear it, her date has no choice. They go to school and are the talk of the night and win best dressed ward. They also win the duct tape scholarship. He also wins the father-n-law love by going to get a life supporting medicine that is needed by the father-n-law. In order to come back from the location, he must use duct tape on the Cessna 172 to fix the broken wing. He wins the wife’s love back because all the stuff he did for the kids, the father-n-law, and baby. And, the attention he gave her (he makes some roses out of duct tape). At the end of the movie, the dad is offered to take a job at Duct Tape Company. He turns it down, to rent an RV and takes the whole family on the road as a family counselor. But before he leaves, he does something very funny with duct tape to the bulldog. So at the end, duct tapes fixed everything plus lots of LOVE…
