Blonde hair, blue eyes. Naomi Delilah Engle and her twin brother are born into an abusive family on November 6, 1996, in Dachau, Germany. They are the third youngest out of ten children (two more to come.) Two years into their lives they move to New Jersey in the United states. Naomi is curious about love, life, the exsistence of good and evil, and spirits and demons at a very young age. She often asked her dad questions about these things. He never answers. Once she told him, "Daddy, I don't think you love me." It was the first time he screamed at her. First time he hit her. The first time she ever doubted love, and really believed in evil. She was only four years old. Now she's sixteen. It's 2012. Living in Brunswick, Georgia. She has kept a diary of the horrible experiences with her family, ever since she could read and write. This is the story of a girl who is strong enough to take on the one thing she is truly afraid of... The world. She doesn't know how to trust people, even herself, or her own mother. She drinks, and smokes marijuana. She cuts herself. She is young, confused, doubtful, and feels neglected. Living with her mom, younger brother, and her boyfriend, Austin, she is forced to face things that she never thought she could over-come, but refers back to her diary, to get back the hope she had when she was a little girl, being beaten everyday of her life, but still kept that little angelic smile to keep everyone else strong, when she couldn't be. The problems she faces include: Her mom leaving her and Austin with her twelve year old brother, "What do you tell a twelve year old when mommy never comes home?", Pregnancy, Racism, Cutting, Facing her father again after six years, Building hope throughout her new family of Her (Naomi, 16), Austin (18), Brendon(12) and baby Jayden(newborn). A beautiful young women, inside and out, a said-to-be angel, a strong-willed and determined indiviual, a troubled soul, searching for hope... But at the same time, just a girl. Just a person. If everyone has a breaking point, she would already be broken... You would think. If you asked her, she would tell you she can handle anything... Even if she's afraid. From the age of four to the age of ten, Naomi was completely brainwashed by her father, who claimed to be a "true Christian". He told her that if she didn't do exactly what he did, act the way he did, believe the same things he did and treat people the way he did, she would go to hell. He constantly told her he hated her, that he was embarrassed to be her father and that she would never go anywhere in life. Naomi was nothing like her twin brother Thomas (Tommy), who, from the beginning, had a fear of his father. Naomi was too afraid to be afraid of him. She knew she would only get hit harder, and he would only insult her more. She kept a journal of the things she experienced, and her thoughts about it.. She even had a "bruise calendar" so she knew what kind of clothes to wear for how long to cover up certain bruises. On April 2, 2007 things just went too far, but ended up changing for the better. She was visiting with her dad, in Tuscan, Arizona. She lived with her mom in Phoenix, but had to see her father every other weekend. This weekend in particular, though, he seemed a little more on edge with Naomi than usual. As ten year olds do, she asked a lot of questions, and she asked, "Why do you hate me so much? What did I ever do to you, dad? Do you just not want me to be better than you... To have a job, and be successful, and be able to deal with my problems... Like my MOTHER?" At that point he grabbed Naomi's arm, threw her against the floor and screamed at her. He picked her up off the ground and told her not to move, and if she cried, it would only get worse. He started whipping her with a leather belt. Across her chest, back, legs, arms.. Everywhere. Gasping for breath, Naomi started to cry. He violently threw the belt across her face, forced her arm behind her back, and broke it. Naomi had nothing left to do, but leave. She ran out the door. Walked fifteen miles alone, to her Aunt's house. This walk was a life changing experience. She finally realized who her dad really was. She changed completely. Never again would she ever act anything like her father. She found who she really was. Her innocence was not far from the monster-like shell her dad built around her. She was one of the sweetest, gentlest, beautiful girls in the world. She had an amazing soul. She swore never to judge people like her father did, always act kindly towards people, and never run out of second chances. Her dad was the only exception to this rule. When she got to her Aunt's house, she told her what happened, and asked her to drive her home. Naomi told her aunt everything. She finally understood what she'd been trying to tell herself through her writing about what kind of a person that man was, and the person she never would be. Within the next two years, Naomi attained a passion for music, art, and writing. She had a beautiful singing voice, and could play the guitar and drums swiftly and naturally. Her art was phenomenal, which was, though, no surprise, because she belonged to a family of artists, directly related to Norman Rockwell. Her writing, though. Her writing touched souls. She wrote so deeply, and so passionatly that it seemed an angel was speaking the words she was writing. When she was twelve, she moved to Medina, Ohio, where she met a boy named Colin King. She was completely taken by him, and he ended up being her first real boyfriend. They were together for a year and a half. At about the year mark, Colin(14) asked Naomi to marry him. Not knowing any better, she said yes. Their engagement lasted 6 months, before Naomi realized she did not really love him. She was only thirteen years old, and clearly did not know what love was. She started realizing that Colin was taking over her life and changing her. She ended the relationship, and four days later, Colin killed himself. She was so torn, that she started cutting herself, smoking marijuana, and drinking. It never stopped. At fifteen years old, she moved to Brunswick Georgia. The year before, she met a boy there while looking at houses with her mom and her step-dad (who died of a heart attack in January of 2012), and siblings. His name was Austin Barakat. They kept in touch all the way through the move. After talking for a while, they decided that they would be together. As soon as she moved. She arrived there, and sitting at the doorstep of her new house was Austin. Holding a note and a rose that said "Be Mine?" She said yes. They've been together for a little over a year since that day. Austin lives with Naomi, her mom, and her little brother, Bryson. (Her other siblings are in college, or living with her dad.) Naomi's mom leaves one December night. Just leaves. Doesn't say a word about where she's going, or when she'll be back. Austin and Naomi are left to take care of Bryson. They're scared to death, but still find time to love eachother. Naomi gets pregnant about a month after her mom left. She is unsure of what to do, but just keeps believing. She re-reads her diaries, and concludes that she can never be broken. By anything. She feels stronger with Austin and her brother by her side, but she feels that even without them, she can take on the world.

1. This Is My Life.
To those who are reading this:
This story is of my life. These things really happened to me. Some of it, yes, is fictional. If you want to know more, contact me somehow, I can give you the full story and what I want this movie to really be about. Please, give it a chance, though. I want teenagers all over to know my story, and to know that even at the darkest of times there is still hope.
