When the death of rockstar Jake is mistakenly published, Jake must deal with the consequences of lying about his death not just to himself and his family but to the world.
When has-been Rockstar Jake realizes a local tabloid has published his obituary, he comes to notice that his music is worth more now that he is dead. Jake's shady agent; the great Cole Manor insists that Jake go along with the story. Jake is pushed into the recording studio to record new music which will be released "posthumously". Jake is loving all of this attention and money until he is outed by a money hungry family member. Jake must deal with feelings of being a has-been to being the biggest star in the world to being a disgrace to the music industry.
