TV series or FEATURE FILM
Jack Sledge is a undercover cop, he usually works the streets of the city alone. He will do whatever it takes to get the bad guys. Even if he's got to do some pretty crazy things. He's always on another mission, doing another stake-out, or going undercover to bring down some drug dealers, gang members or who ever he's up against. And that is the show/movie. He goes undercover.
Jack could work for Boston PD, NYPD, LAPD, it doesn't really matter. It would even be cool to see him transfer from place to place. He's not your typical cop. And he may not even be the most serious one. But he likes what he does.
He's always trying to get women, that could be another philosophy or hobby of his. Perhaps he's been married once, but that didn't work out so well, even though his ex is always showing up somewhere.
Some of these cop shows nowadays aren't really all that interesting in my opinion, we need something fun and hip. Something with humor and a cool mysteriousness to it. Make that person be Jack Sledge. "UNDERCOVER"...

A dark comedy horror. By the year 2074, the world has gone through the 3rd World War, and America is now under control of the Sponges. All humans are used as slaves, although some humans have been running for their lives in hope of either survival or to override the sponges.
Smitty is a homeless, who's been hiding out in an abandoned Arby's for 19 years. Smitty is a patriot who would happily turn himself in to be loyal to his country, if not for belief that his father is alive somewhere, when he saw his father escape the slaves 4 years prior. It is his life goal to meet his father one last time.
Smitty finds a newspaper explaining his father being a found fugitive currently hiding in behind the Sponge slave chambers, in an attempt to release the slaves. Smitty runs after him. Along the way, he devours children in an attempt to harvest their soul and grow younger.
Smitty finds his father, and battles the sponges, before he finds out that the man he finds is not in fact his father; just a man sharing his name. The knowledgeable sponges alert Smitty that his father was killed 2 years prior. Smitty, in grief, cuts out his own heart.
The audience learns, after Smitty's death, that his mother was still alive as well, and as soon as his mom heard that her son was killed, she also killed herself in grief, because she too was spending her life searching for him.
They were hiding in the buildings next to eachother.
