"Never trust anyone, not even if they say they'd die for you"
Rick Savage is a police officer of 15 years. His partner Keith Marlett has been his partner ever since. James has a family, a wife and a kid. Keith...has always been jealous. Rick is shot in the line of duty after Keith his partner has supposedly just retired from being a cop. Keith tried to kill him as he was on break, but did not succeed.
2 years later
Rick has recovered but been in Coma for over 2 years from the gun shot to his head that almost killed him from his ex-partner Keith. Rick does not know who shot him. And he's just finding out that his family has been missing for over a year.
Keith has kidnapped his wife and child and is trying to keep them as his own family. Rick is devastated when he hears that his family is missing and has been for over a year. He wants answers, tips, clues...anything he can get his hands on. As suspicions throughout the movie have coldcased him on and off again he becomes suspectant that Keith may be involved somehow and tries to get more information. Only to find out after confronting Keith, staking him out...and talking to his neighbors and family members...that Keith is a very untrustworthy person and can be very dangerous and delusionally capable of doing deranged things.. and acting upon his obsessive impulses. A side to Keith that Rick never knew about..even after 15 years. Rick finds out in the end that Keith couldn't afford his medicine anymore after having a nervous breakdown right after retiring. It drove him insane. By this point Rick has already regained his family and killed his ex-partner Keith that he had known and been partners with for 15 years. THEY WERE LIKE BROTHERS!
(Rick is a decent cop and always has been, but his partner Keith is a ruthless bastard that doesn't like to play by the rules. Keith is completely jealous of Rick.) EXT.CONVENIANT STORE-DAY
A fast moving cop car comes to a jolting halt.(errr!) Two police officers jump out of the vehicle and draw their pistols.
Rick Freeze motherfucker!
Keith Drop the weapon!
A suspect with a small bag of cash pulls out a gun. Rick shoots him in the leg. A shot rings out of the suspects gun. Keith runs toward the injured suspect that lies on the ground.
Keith Roll over!
Suspect tries to resist. Keith puts his need on the mans head immobilizing him.
Keith pulls out his handcuffs.
Keith
We didn't have to do this the hard way. But I guess that's the only way you know.
Suspect Fuck you motherfucker!(spits at him)
Keith stands him up and throws him against the wall after getting him handcuffed. He begins to punch him in the ribs and kidneys violently.
Keith You should of fucken listened
The suspect begins to scream and starts coughing up blood.
Rick runs over and pushes his partner Keith off the man.
Rick Are you out of your fucking mind? What the fuck's wrong with you man? You can't keep doing this shit.
Keith Hey! If you can't do the time don't do the crime!
Rick Whatever. Just get back in the fucken car. Hopefully your ass won't get suspended.
Keith I heard that. Let's roll.
Cop car takes off.
INT.POLICE DEPT.-DAY
Keith and Rick are walking the suspect in to be booked. Rick sets down at a desk and begins the paperwork while Keith stands there staring the criminal in his face with an angry look.
I also have another idea for these 2 characters, same title but different. In this one, Keith and Rick have been partners for many years and have really come to be extremely close friends,like brothers to one another. But Keith has been keeping a secret from Rick. Keith has been sleeping with his old lady. Rick doesn't even suspect it, but when he begins to notice Keith acting differently on the job and his old lady acting differently at home. Questions begin to raise in his mind. And now Rick decides to do some investigating of his own only to find out that his long time good buddy, and partner Keith has betrayed him. Rick wants payback.
