There was a Capital Murder case in Nacogdoches County, Texas in 2005. A mother (Marcia Kelly) was wrongly-convicted for Capital Murder. This case was profiled on the Oxygen Channel show "Snapped". Marcia allegedly hired a group of kids (including her daughter, Shaina Sepulvado) to kill her husband, James Kelly. Marcia was convicted despite there being no irrefutable physical evidence linking her to the crime. The triggerman, Colton Weir, says he shot James because James was beating on Shaina and molesting her.
I chose the "No Derivatives" option because I want the story accurately portrayed. This movie idea comes with one stipulation: I play the role of James Kelly.
This story takes place in Washington. Its about a 17 year old girl who lives with her dad and her brother. Her mother died when she was 3 years old. This girl always has dreams that come to reality. Most of her dreams are harmless and she is the only one who knows about them. One night she has a dream about a woman being murdered. 2 days later, the same woman she seen in her dream is on the news, a wealthy politicians wife, who was murdered. She then becomes frieghtened and tells her dad. He obviously doest believe her, so she eventually tells the police. They also do not believe her. A while passes by and nothing happens. Then, she has another dream. She sees the president being murdered. This time when she awakens, she immediately calls the fbi and tells them that someone is going to try to kill the president. They then interview her, and one detective takes some interest in her story. They then work together to try to piece out her dream and find out who is trying to kill the president. Eventually they find out that the killer is her dad. But can they stop him in time? Who knows.
Also, the reason behind the womans murder, and the presidents destined murder is because they are the reason his wife was killed. The president was having an affair with the murdered woman and the wife got the information by accident. They then had her killed to cover up the situation. The husband found his wifes findings years later. She had it backed up on a computer at home and was password protected. The father then planned his killing spree before he showed his evidence.
The main character of the story is detective Wes Janssen of the LAPD. He is a very experienced police-officer, but unfortunately he is an emotional wreck. He was sexually abused as a child by a masked stranger and, as a consequence, suffers from a sexual trauma. His whole life, he has been unable to have any romantic or sexual relationship with a woman. He’s never told anyone about his abuse and his psychological problems because he’s ashamed about it. At the same time he really has sexual and romantic desires towards women, but his trauma forms a psychological chain around him that restrains him heavily. This causes a huge mental conflict inside him and results in immense frustrations, which in turn leads to increasingly violent and angry behavior on the job (he’s very trigger-happy). He has developed a serious drinking problem. His colleagues, especially his partner det. Mike Dayton, are getting increasingly worried about him.
On top of all this, a young boy is found dead. He was horribly raped and abused before he was strangled to death. Janssen is in charge of the case: it brutally confronts him with his own traumatic experiences as a child. After 3 days another boy is found on a different location in the city, again brutally raped and strangled to death. Another 3 days later, another boy is found raped and strangled; 3 days later another one …. It becomes clear to everyone that there is a pedophile serial killer at work. Janssen and his colleagues are unable to find any clue and with each new victim they find, the pressure on them to catch the killer grows (for Janssen, the whole case is becoming a living nightmare). Because they are growing increasingly desperate, they decide to ask advice from a forensic profiler. This profiler, Anna Fitzgerald, is a very confident and extremely intelligent person with a razor sharp mind. She also happens to be a very beautiful woman (blond hair, blue eyes). Janssen is immediately attracted to her, but is unable to show this to her.
Anna and Wes start working together intensively to try to catch the killer. During their conversations she starts to realize that Wes has mental issues and delves into his mind. Eventually she discovers his trauma and what caused it. But she also discovers that she has feelings for him and they begin a passionate, very sexual relationship. This has a huge transformative psychological effect on Wes, who experiences a form of happiness for the first time in his life. But just when things start to look better for him, he receives a huge shock: the killer unexpectedly sends him a message. He claims he has seen Wes on TV and recognized him; he claims that he was the one who raped Wes all those years ago. On top of that he tells Wes that he has kidnapped his nephew (his sister’s son). If they fail to find the killer within 3 days, Wes will find his nephew raped and strangled to death. For Anna, Wes and his colleagues this is the start of a frenetic race against time to track the killer and save the boy.
The title “Helter Skelter” refers to the controversial, dark Beatles-song, which symbolizes the dark and troubled state of mind of Wes Janssen (he is a Beatles-fan and it’s one of his favorite songs). The story could be best summarized as a combination of a psychological crime thriller with an explicit sexual element and a tale about a man’s personal journey through hell in search of psychological redemption.
“TO CAPTURE EVIL” is a modern day psychological thriller set in an isolated farming community in rural Ben Wheeler,Texas. Our story begins with a recently married couple, MILES and DEVIN, as they are settling into their first home with their newborn, SADIE. The majestic plains serve as a near perfect scene to begin a life other than the fact that a gruesome crime has just rocked the sanctity of the once peaceful town.
Upon hearing the news of the discovery of an adolescent girl’s decapitated body; Devin becomes an overbearing, tyrant of a wife intent on protecting her baby by installing a home security system. One night, Miles seeks refuge from his marital problems and travels to a local tavern. It is here that he befriends a local beauty named, CLAIRE. A friendly conversation turns dark quickly when Claire insists that he and his family are being admired by someone. Initially, Miles dismisses the remark until he begins to leave and notices Claire whispering something to a shady character who gives him the evil eye.
Upon his return home, Miles searches for the code to the security system but can’t find it. Regardless, he twists the knob on the front door and it opens. A rush of fear trickles down his body because he knows how psychotic Devin has been about safety lately. Then as he cautiously enters his home he discovers a horrific sight. Through the gleaming moonlight, Miles sees the silhouette of Devin’s lifeless body hanging from a ceiling fan. A knife wielding hand appears behind Miles but he flees upstairs before he is struck. He seeks refuge in Sadie’s room but quickly discovers she is missing from her crib.
Footsteps creep near the door…
In a state of pure panic and with nothing to defend himself with, Miles rushes out of the room and sends the intruder tumbling down the staircase. Although it seems as if the intruder is dead, Miles drags the body into his basement and ties it to a chair. An interrogation ensues but he gets no response. In frustration, Miles repeatedly hits the intruder until it lets out a gasp. It’s a woman’s voice. He rips off her mask to reveal that it’s CLAIRE, the woman from the bar.
At this point, Miles alludes that he is about to call the police when Claire, states that if he does, his baby will die. Claire then reveals to Miles that she is the sister of the young girl who was murdered earlier. She tells the story of a man who blackmailed her to kill a family by holding her sister ransom. Since she didn’t comply her sister was murdered. According to her, she is just a pawn into the real psychopaths’ plans. Miles soon realizes that to capture this killer he must first become one.
What follows is a chain reaction of terrifying murders that brings a small Texas town to its knees.
“TO CAPTURE EVIL” can be best described as “LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT” meets “SAW.” A psychological thriller that asks what a man is capable of when the ones he holds dearest are placed in unthinkable jeopardy.
Claxx is a jeweler who owns a luxury chain of shops which sell diamonds,wedding rings,necklaces,earrings,amulets and all sort of golden,silver and diamond objects.He owns a private mansion,very modernly designed,with a huge courtyard,inner swimming pool,marble all across the living room,spacious bedrooms,plasma TVs in every room and all other amenities which define a modern,luxurious villa.But the real treasure in in the basement of his mansion.There,protected by motion sensors,bunker like doors where access is permitted based on voice recognition,eye scanning systems,password protected lie a great treasure:two ancient diamonds which worth three times Claxx”s fortune.They are not for sale,since the jeweler wants to pass them on to his children.
A group of terrorists enter the country and are instantly detected by the CIA.They are known for their violence,multiple bombings and cruel deeds.Luckily,someone from inside tell the secret services they plan something big,but they need money to fund the action.They contact Claxx and propose him a trade:diamonds(used as payment instead of money),versus the ownership papers of several venues,where he can expand his business.He agrees,but then he is approached by the CIA who ask for his help in apprehending the terrorists.He agrees and confesses the meeting is three days from then.
Meanwhile,one of Claxx former bodyguards,who was recently fired after trying to seduce the jeweler”s wife,begins to spread the word on the streets about his diamonds.This draws the attention of Charles and his crew of thugs and thieves.They would all like to obtain those diamonds.And they kidnap Claxx(the night before the meeting day),force him to enter the mansion and ask him for the passwords.As he refuses,one of the thieves hit him and then they restrain him.Charles decides they should try to bypass the security systems on their own.Claxx manages to convince one of the guarding thugs to lend him a cellphone and notifies CIA about what happened to him.They decide to send agents and a lot of police officers,since he is a key person to getting those terrorists.
Charles is decided to fight the police officers,deciding he has to leave the mansion in only two ways:having the diamonds after they came for or inside a coffin.And he imposes the same to his gang.Meanwhile,the agents know they work against time,since the meeting is due at 9:00 AM.They must rescue the jeweler,fight the thugs and secure the whole building in just one night full of action.
