I will get right to the point.
There are many, many countless dimensions. And within these dimensions are universes. Within them are planets. The smallest planet in each universe is a billion times bigger then our sun. And in between each planet are unbreakable, impassable barriers.
The farthest planet from the sun (which is close to the smallest planet and also the weakest) is the planet of the originators -- the creators -- the leaders -- of this planet. They created everything in that separate dimension.
Now they each want more. Some want to conquer the earth (as well as earth's universe). Others are bounty hunters. Some are mercenaries.
I like this idea mostly because there is no good just evil
