Based on the Legend of Spyro trilogy.A animated adventure full of danger,laughs,and friendship.It starts near a peaceful lake,in a cave on a mountain top.Two lions,Jarei and Rocky,and their daughter,Ariella,rest in their home.When Rocky goes to hunt,he sees a bright purple egg near the bottom of a tree.He brings the egg back to his cave,where Jarei reconizes it as a dragon egg. Ariella asks if they can keep it,and Jarei agrees since the egg lost it's parents.When the egg hatched,they named him "Tambaa",hoping he will grow up believing he's a lion.As a young hatchling,Tambaa acts like a lion,thinks like a lion,and eats like a lion.However,when he was chasing a butterfly,Tambaa fell off the ledge,but as soon as he did,he began to fly.When he asks his mother why he could fly,she responds by saying he is a special lion.When two mean racoons come to the lake,they call him a "big purple lizard".Tambaa, feeling upset,breathes fire at the racoons.They run away,while calling him a freak.His parents tell him to ignore those racoons,so he did.Years later,young Tambaa has become a teenager.His parents had three new cubs,Kaiya,a she cub,and two males named Leonardo and Hercules.He tries to race with Leonardo and Kaiya,but again falls off the ledge.He sees the racoons and,knowing they'll make fun of him if he does it,refuses to fly.He lands on top of Asiaga,a hyena,and her friend,Sparx,a dragonfly.While the racoons call him a "dodo",Asiaga tells them to knock it off.After the racoons leave,Tambaa thanks Asiaga for helping him.The female hyena lashes out at him,saying he should stop "jumping off high places like a rabbit".Sparx comforts Tambaa,saying Asiaga always lashes out at people.She says that Sparx has "the small brain of a wart hog".Tambaa introduces himself as a lion,but Asiaga points out that Tambaa isn't a lion.After hearing this,Tambaa ran off,going to tell his parents.After explaining what happened,Jarei gets a saddened look on her face.Rocky tells Tambaa there is something more to the young dragon.His parents tell him that he is not their son.Tambaa,heartbroken,asks his fake parents who he really is.They explain they found him near a huge tree,abandoned.Angry,Tambaa runs off,with Asiaga and Sparx ,to find the truth about the young dragon.Deep in the forest,Tambaa then battles a black dragoness,who is then defeated by him.She says he's got some great fighting skills.He then asks her who she is.The dragoness introduced herself as Cynder.She said that the young dragon's true name was Spyro,not Tambaa.Cynder offers to train the purple dragon,and he accepts.After alot of intense training,Spyro decides to swim in the river.He takes Cynder with him.However,he had a run in with a young wolf pup,who wanted to battle him.Spyro then play fights with the wolf pup,accidently burning him a little.He says it's okay,and trots off.The pup's mother sees the marks,reconizing them as burn marks.She tells everyone in the forest that two "evil dragons" attacked her son.The forest animals then track down the two dragons.Spyro runs off,abandoning Cynder.When he realizes he must save her,Spyro,Asiaga,and Sparx save her from being killed.After smoothing things over with the animals,Cynder explains why she was training Spyro,because of the evil dragon,Skaarg.CAn Spyro defeat the evil king,or go down in flames?
