Based on the children's chapter book of the same name.Young Sangu has always lived with his pride.His father,Koru,is the leader of their pride.Lesedi,Sangu's mother,tries to teach her son how to survive in the wild.Sangu,on the other hand,would rather play with his friends than learn.One day,he,Lesedi,Nia,Samanya,Tau,and Furu go to the clearing to learn about important survival skills.During the lesson,Samanya talks about how Nia will be his mate.Sangu says he doesn't care and tells Samanya to shut up.He then sees his elephant friend,Lefty,and sneaks off to see him.Lefty's mother,Twinkles,sees the young cub playing with her son.She also sees the other cubs and Lesedi,believing they're attacking her son.Twinkles storms through the bushes,trumpting,and attacks Lesedi.While she is fighting,the cubs all run back,except Sangu,who is hiding in the bushes nearby.Lesedi is defeated and left with fatal wounds.She collapses,barely alive,near Sangu.She tells him she's sorry and that she'll always love him.Lesedi then dies,leaving Sangu heart-broken.He then runs away,far into the jungle.Soon enough,while he is crying,a female gorilla comes up to him and strokes his fur.The gorilla,named Tamiko,asks the little cub what's the matter.Sangu explains his mother was killed,and that he ran away because it was his fault.Three other gorillas come up and see the lion cub.They decide to bring him into their family.Tamiko and her mate,a silver back named Alpha,become Sangu's new parents.When it was time to eat,Sangu didn't want to eat leaves,so Tamiko let him eat fruit.He plays hide and go seek with the others,but they prank him by scaring him and making him fall into the stream.He is taunted by teenage males,who call him "whiskers".However,they changed their thoughts about him during a wild dog attacked,when he scared them by roaring.They are all happy for him.Years later,Sangu has grown into an adult with a large,bright red mane.He still lives with the gorillas,and considers them his family.one day,a friend of his is chased by a lioness.When he sees her,Sangu realizes it's Nia,his old friend.When she sees him,she is very happy to see him.She asks him to come back,but Sangu said it was better in the jungle than the plains.Nia then roars at him and calls him cocky.She sulks then leaves,making Sangu feel something that Yorick,a fruit bat,calls "the plague of love".Sangu must make a choice either to stay with his gorilla family,or return to his home and Nia.
This story is about Elfie Elf, he is a elf that is a little different. Elfie is about six foot tall and he feels like he dosen't belong. Elfie desides that he may fit inbetter in a different holiday. So he leaves Christmas and tries to join another holiday. He tries Easter. Thanksgiving. Valentines. And a bunch of other holidays. In the end he finds he was in the right holiday all along and sometimes being different is a good thing and can be a benefit.
