Plane crash in Andes – 3 people missing, feared dead (TV broadcast). Blizzard prevents rescue crews getting to last known location. Small headline in local paper – “Trio rescued from certain death by an alpine climber”. His identity is unknown. 5 months later, a plane crash in the Canadian Rockies, a party of two were rescued. The identity of the rescuer remains unknown. Journalist, Jo May is alerted by a close friend of the second rescue and after extensive research discovers a pattern. Plane crash – survivors recued – identity of rescuer unknown. She starts a story and the search for the mystery man and his motive. Flashback to a previous climbing accident where there is a sole survivor who personally blames himself for the death of his friends. Tom Bradshaw, an adrenaline junkie lived for climbing and adventure sports. It was his life up to the time of the accident. 7 weeks later a 4 climbers are missing feared dead in the Himalayas. It fits the pattern and Jo was on the next flight to the nearest town beside the crash site. Jo checks the local hotels for people who have just checked in and might fit the bill. A climber had checked in that morning and had not returned. As the weather improves slightly, Jo pays a helicopter pilot to risk a flight and while in the air there was a brief break in the clouds and she spots footprints that lead to a solitary figure trekking up to the crash site which still had smoke rising from it. The pilot signals more bad weather and must return to base. Her heart is thumping – who is he and what’s his game. She waits at the hotel and soon the TV headlines reach her about the survivors being alive and well after being helped by the mystery climber. Her eyes dart around the hotel foyer waiting for her man. She feels a presence behind her and turns – she shivered in awe as he floated past her as if out for a stroll. She stood in shock as he disappeared up the lift…….
