Plane crash in Andes – 3 people missing, feared dead (TV broadcast). Blizzard prevents rescue crews getting to last known location.
Small headline in local paper – “Trio rescued from certain death by an alpine climber”. His identity is unknown.
5 months later, a plane crash in the Canadian Rockies, a party of two were rescued. The identity of the rescuer remains unknown. Journalist, Jo May is alerted by a close friend of the second rescue and after extensive research discovers a pattern. Plane crash – survivors recued – identity of rescuer unknown. She starts a story and the search for the mystery man and his motive.
Flashback to a previous climbing accident where there is a sole survivor who personally blames himself for the death of his friends. Tom Bradshaw, an adrenaline junkie lived for climbing and adventure sports. It was his life up to the time of the accident.
7 weeks later a 4 climbers are missing feared dead in the Himalayas. It fits the pattern and Jo was on the next flight to the nearest town beside the crash site.
Jo checks the local hotels for people who have just checked in and might fit the bill. A climber had checked in that morning and had not returned. As the weather improves slightly, Jo pays a helicopter pilot to risk a flight and while in the air there was a brief break in the clouds and she spots footprints that lead to a solitary figure trekking up to the crash site which still had smoke rising from it. The pilot signals more bad weather and must return to base. Her heart is thumping – who is he and what’s his game.
She waits at the hotel and soon the TV headlines reach her about the survivors being alive and well after being helped by the mystery climber. Her eyes dart around the hotel foyer waiting for her man. She feels a presence behind her and turns – she shivered in awe as he floated past her as if out for a stroll. She stood in shock as he disappeared up the lift…….
Laying down on the therapy couch Jim explains to his shrink how his Boring life style of serving an evil boss in a 9 to 9 job! in MegaTech Co. Coupled with no positive energy coming from his Unsuccessful romantic life due to his character limitations can no longer carry him through. Jim Says: “this has recently triggered me to entering a gun store amusing the idea of buying gun!”. Looking at his watch the shrink informs Jim: “the time for the session has just ended; basically you need to explore more options! Let’s continue this discussion in the next session” .................................Jim was stumbling into his suicidal thoughts while Shopping for his grocery, a burglar enters with unloaded gun asking the cashier to hand him all the cash register money while everybody forced to lay down on the ground, the Shop owner suddenly points a gun at the burglar, and they both start threatening to shoot each other, calmly with a heroic no longer care about life attitude Jim stands up and walks slowly to the burglar saying: “tell me how much do you need not how much do you want” and the burglar accepts to take a thousand Dollar and leaves with Jim as a hostage ...........................................Jim sympathies with
Looking at him now you get the impression that he was something to look at during his younger days.
Larry graduated from the University more than thirty years ago.
Larry was never ‘married’, not necessarily in the real sense, but in the students language it simply meant being in a serious relationship…one with all the benefits of the married.
Many of his friends lived a married life while on campus, and then were children when they went home for the holidays.
Larry was more fascinated in his experiments and discoveries. He lived through the university without taking part in the happenings of such gatherings of young people.
Larry was a genius and relatively good looking – this combination would have got him more female friends than he could deal with.
Because of his exceptional grades he was immediately given employment at the university in the science department – hardly anybody could match his research and laboratory skills.
Lately strange things are happening to Larry, he has begun to notice the good things on campus.
For example when he walks by the basket ball court he pictures himself as the local basket ball star…and not just on court but the life, the girls, the partying.
When he sits down to watch a game of football, he is the almighty quarterback…with all the ‘privileges’ that come with the position.
The other day walking past the library, he was the campus king - there is a young lady walking down an adjacent path – she smiles and Larry is grinning from ear to ear. As he slows down to chat, she walks by and hugs the guy walking right behind him. Then he is old Larry once again.
Some days he is the campus nud – and enjoys his moments of compassion from some of the lovely girls, but also the angry shoulder butts from the jealous guys.
Other times he is on the happy-go-lucky campus crew. Blown by the wind in whichever direction.
Larry had always been into his studies and work and he could be classified as a top notch lab technician.
He kind of missed out on the going on’s in the university when he was still a young man.
He got invited to many students organized functions, but he found his experiments in the laboratory more fulfilling.
Everyone of us dreams of what we could be in somebody else’s place. How we would maximize live our lives to the full as somebody else.
Interestingly, somebody else looking at us thinks how their lives would be great if they were us.
Ok so I just got bored at work and started wondering about a cool movie idea so here's what i got so far :
A guy/girl dies for whatever reason and finds himself or herself in the afterlife which is a place similar to the real world but on a different plain of existence . The problem is every person that dies comes to this place and is hunted down and his or hers essence is absorbed in order to gain powers (similar to highlander) or not powers lets say a lifeline (more time on that plain) . So ... it's a post-apocalyptic afterlife dimension where there are gangs and clans which hunt people for their essence to gain powers/more time (similar to Mad Max or Fallout 3-the video game) . So I'm thinking of a fast paced adventure/scifi/action movie where the main char runs and finds ways to stay alive,makes friends kills bad , grows more powerful guys etc etc.Again I'm just spit-balling here would be cool if I wasn't the only one who finds this intriguing .
